If you are new to town or need a library card, here are the things you need to know to access over 8 million physical items and even more digital ebooks, audiobooks, and more! A PDF of the Borrowers Guide is at the bottom of this page.
- A patron must present proof of current address, working telephone number
and picture identification to obtain a borrower's card. - Minors need a parent or legal guardian present to get a card.
- Parents and guardians are financially responsible for the material on their child’s card.
- There is no age minimum to get a card.
- Patrons may apply for a library card at the Library at any time prior to fifteen minutes before closing.
We are excited to share that we have recently added over 80 new non-fiction books to our juvenile section featuring series about basic science, ecology, anatomy, animals from around the world, and more! Be sure to check out the display of books in the middle of the Library!
Are your kids headed back to school this fall? Check out the school supply lists below for Norwood Elementary and West Jefferson Middle School! The Library is a great resource for helping your children to grow their reading skills that will carry them through high school and beyond!
Be sure to stop in to browse the Bridge Section, which is full of leveled readers for beginners up to chapter books! We also have a teen section for those who want to stay after school to do schoolwork or hang out with friends.
