Welcome to the HBMLibrary Annual Easter Egg Hunt!

The egg hunt starts on Monday, March 31st, and runs until Saturday, April 19th.

Children up to age 18 are invited to search the Children's Area during business hours for colorful Easter eggs. Once you find them all, you will earn a prize!

Please help us celebrate the 100th anniversary of the first public planetarium!

 

The Drake Planetarium will bring its portable planetarium to the West Jefferson Community Center on Wednesday, April 2nd. 

There will be two shows: the first at 1 p.m. and the second at 2 p.m. You may attend one (1) show, but you must register beforehand. Call the Information Desk at 614-879-8448 to register.

The popular decorated holiday plates are back, featuring an Easter theme! The DIY kit is for adults and will be available starting Monday, April 7th, while supplies last. Each kit contains a glass plate, Easter fabric, a container of Mod Podge, a foam brush, a plate stand, and instructions.

Do you need an outfit for Prom?

We will be accepting donations of clean and gently used prom dresses, tuxedos/suits, ties, and accessories.

These items will be free to any student, with a limit of one type of each item per person. 

Donations can be dropped off now. Items may be taken starting Monday, March 10th, until Saturday, April 26th.

The Madison County Master Gardener Volunteers are ready to help you prepare for the upcoming gardening season! They will focus on plants and flowers that attract butterflies and other essential pollinators, helping plants thrive and grow. After the presentation, there will be a demonstration on how to sow seeds in the Winter and Spring.

 

Let's learn more about pollinators together on Saturday, March 29th at 11 AM!

Princess Tea is an annual Princess Party for young children! Attendees will be treated to a morning of crafts, face painting, games, snacks, and costumes are encouraged.

 

Princess Tea is on Saturday, April 12th at 11 AM.
